In rural Burkina Faso, very little milk from agro-pastoral production is collected and processed. This milk is mainly collected by mini-dairies, of which number is constantly increasing. The local milk sector is strongly influenced by the instability of young dairy workers. Professionalizing them through training courses leading to certification will help to retain young people in dairies and contribute to achieving the ECOWAP vision. Hence the formulation of this project.

The title of the action is: "Project to improve the competitiveness of local milk and professionalize young people". The strategy envisaged to achieve the targeted objectives will be based on strengthening the technical and material skills of young collectors, processors and distributors, marketing dairy products through "resto-laits", and professionalizing young people through better mastery of the targeted trades.

To contribute to improving the employability of young women and men in the competitive links (collection, processing and marketing) of the local milk sector, which is strongly connected to urban markets.
