Background: 

The phenomenon of land degradation is a major problem facing agricultural producers in Niger as it affects more and more cultivable land.

Objectives: 

Contribute to the sustainable management of land and the promotion of agro-ecological practices through stronger integration between agriculture and livestock.

Budget: 
€267,911
Expected Results: 
  • Protection of family farms against water and wind erosion and the misuse of tractors ;
  • Facilitation of the distribution of seeds adapted to the climatic risks experienced under local conditions ; 
  • Increased income for women and young people through the promotion of breeding coupled with fattening and poultry farming while promoting agroecology ;
  • Improvement of the living conditions of people with disabilities and their households through survival gardens.
