Agroforestry systems - A smart alternative to tackle climate change in the island of Santo Antão

Objectives:

The creation of agroforestry systems in experimental fields to promote intelligent food production systems for the climate of Cape Verde.

Budget:
€287,495.04
Expected Results:
  • Innovative agroecological techniques are adopted by farmers through experimental fields.

  • Water for agriculture is available and its use is efficient and increased.

  • Farmers’ capacities are strengthened through specific training actions that provide participants with practical knowledge about their agroecosystems and the techniques that will be implemented in the experimental fields.

  • Capitalisation and sharing of project results is carried out.
