Ouro Koura Agadazi and the ECOWAS Commissioner for Agriculture, Environment and Water Resources, Mr. Sékou Sangaré.

Scheduled to end on Thursday, March 22, 2018, these high-level meetings that are organized each year in March will allow the technical and financial partners of RAAF to review the various achievements of 2017 and give the necessary guidance for the 2018 action plans. The Advisory Committee meeting of each project is composed of the representatives of the technical and financial partners, ECOWAS and the beneficiaries.

Observing that all the projects and programs are funded by ECOWAS financial partners only, the Togolese Minister of Agriculture and Livestock thanked the technical and financial partners for their support, and went on to appeal to the ECOWAS Commission to operationalize without delay the Regional Fund for Agriculture and Food in order to ensure the sustainable funding of these initiatives and effectively take care of the development of the agricultural sector of the region.

The Commissioner and his entire team look forward to receiving the wise guidance from the partners for 2018 that will enable RAAF to move forward in fulfilling its mandate of ensuring technical assistance on programs and regional investment plans that contribute to the operationalization of the ECOWAS regional agricultural policy, relying on institutions, regional organizations and stakeholders with proven expertise.
