Kanfitin joined RAAF in September 2015. He is currently Acting Head of Technical Operations cumulatively with his position of Programme Officer, Food Security and Vulnerability Management. He coordinates the implementation of all ECOWAP projects and programmes implemented by RAAF, the major themes of which include resilience, food and nutrition security, livestock and pastoralism, climate change and youth employability.
Before joining RAAF, he held several positions at national level in both the public and private sectors. At Togo's Ministry of Agriculture, he served among others as Head of the Agricultural Extension Service, Head of Agricultural Intensification Unit with integrated projects, Director for Agriculture, Technical and Economic Adviser for projects supporting the coffee and cocoa sector, and Agricultural Programme Officer in NGOs.
Kanfitin has over 27 years' experience in programme and project management, drafting development strategies and programmes, managing public-private partnerships, agricultural extension and developing agricultural cooperatives. He holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering and a masters in Humanitarian Crisis Management.
