Francis Dabiré officially joined RAAF in February 2016 and has been serving as Programme Officer, Communications and Advocacy. With more than 25 years’ experience, he is an accomplished leader in the supervision and coordination of communication strategies, plans and activities at national, regional, and international levels. He coordinates and supervises all communication programmes under the RAAF portfolio and brings strategic support to the communications of other directorates under the ECOWAS Department for Economic Affairs and Agriculture and to the ECOWAS Commission generally speaking.

Prior to joining RAAF, he held various regional positions in his capacity of development and corporate communications specialist, enhancing the reputation and credibility of various development organisations (ranking from Civil society organisations (Green Cross International), media houses (Groupe Editions Le Pays), mining companies (Newmont Mining, Kalsaka Mining, Cluff Mining, Resolute West Africa, BHP International), public international organisations (IFDC), interstates, and research organisations (CAB International) to regional economic communities) and contributing to their growth across Africa. He is very familiar with the international working environment.

Francis holds a master’s degree in both literature/civilisations/foreign languages and corporate communication and is fluent in English and French with working knowledge in German and Latin.
